Magnus Loses in 22 Moves by Anish.

The simplest explanation is that it was a blitz game; such losses happen to everybody, eventually.
Plus, Carlsen may have had his guard down a bit since he had already clinched that blitz tourney.
In response to the game #3 posted (since the original topic game ended in 39 moves, not 22) it looks like Magnus was trying to take Giri out of his opening prep (at least I assume that's what the really strange looking 11. Qd2 move is) and ended up in a worse position where he then made two dubious moves in a row starting with 18. exd5, and then a blundered a piece to top it off.

Even the best players in the world have off days. Just not as many as the rest of us!
