carlsen was not rated so high previously simply because the ratings were new and he had not played enough games. Always been strong at blitz too. Players like Caruana are still unde-rated in blitz for the same reason.
Good to see a little passion in that vid, its part of the reason why he is so good :)

Carlsen won blitz championship last year, he's a beast in blitz. His second day in blitz championship just didn't go well this year. He lost final game in first day against Karjakin and his second day wasn't his day at all. It happens sometimes (even when you're Magnus Carlsen).
