I found the Atomic variant's equivalent of the Scholar's Mate:
my pick would be 1.e4 e5 2.Qh5 g6 3.Qh3 f5 4.exf5 followed by Qd7. Then of course there's the fools mate of atomic, 1.e4 d5 2.exd5?? Qxd2
Or... you can just do it this way...
The weird thing is that not a lot of players find this checkmate. I looked at 1. e4 Nc6 in the opening tree, and I'm surprised that White doesn't have a much higher win rate.
@DiameterDiameter Furthermore, after 2. Qh5, the correct move, black wins more than white.
Fool's Mate is not a very good analogy to 1. e4 d5 2. exd5?? Qxd2#. In the Fool's Mate white intentionally tries to lose. In the Qxd2 mate black plays a natural move, although that hangs mate in 1.
f4 and g4 are not unnatural moves for novices
@DiameterDiameter You're a genius. This discovery will elevate Atomic Theory to great heights.
I'm officially patenting this invention.
It’s not a discovery nor an invention. What your point stateyourpoint?
