Pet peeve/bad gamesmanship

I was having one of those games and was down 20
points in pieces and my opponent felt it was
necessary get another queen. I was already dead in
the water and he could have mated me at will.
I believe that is bad sportsmanship. Am I off base?
I obviously could have resigned but wanted to make a point.
about as bad sportsmanship as not resigning :p i don't mind what either player did actually
Here is the point. When a football team is up 4 touchdowns
with minimal time left you don't start throwing bombs
in the end zone. When a baseball team is up 10 runs you
don't steal second base. It's called sportsmanship Understand? Not resigning shows no disrespect toward another player.
Perhaps he was making a point about you not resigning.
Whine whine whine, if you're losing that bad just resign. I hate it when people like you play on till mate when the position is completely lost.
Sure investor #7 players hate it when they have a winning
position and the other player has the nerve to play on.
Give me a break. And offering an opinion is not wining
is what the forum is for. If you do not like other opinions
then stay off the forum. And many chess instructors will tell
you can always learn something from losing.
For your information.
